Originally from Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, Erick moved to the United States to pursue higher education and continue his soccer career at the collegiate level.

In 2018, Erick began coaching at Barça Academy Austin, where he spent five years in various roles including Head Coach, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager at Barça Academy West. During this time, he was immersed in the Barça methodology, focusing on a possession-based style of play, intelligent positioning, and player-centered development. This approach helped shape his coaching philosophy and continues to influence how he sees the game today. While at Barça, Erickhelped lead teams to multiple league and state titles and played a key role in the academy’s day-to-day operations.

In 2023, Erick joined Lonestar Soccer Club, coaching in the ECNL program and supporting the club across several departments. He later became Lonestar’s Head of Marketing, managing the club’s brand, social media, web communications, and digital content.

Outside of coaching, Erick is a passionate drummer, gamer, Doberman dad, and a lifelong supporter of both Liverpool FC and Pumas UNAM.
