Originally from Austin, Texas, Hayes earned his B.S. in Exercise & Sports Science with a minor in Business Administration from Texas State University, where he also served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Division I Women’s Soccer team.

After graduating in 2022, Hayes joined the Austin FC Academy as an Assistant Goalkeeping Coach and later also took on the role of Assistant Coach for the U12 team. His work contributed to the development of players and goalkeepers who went on to participate in national ID camps, youth national teams, top collegiate programs, and Austin FC II.

During the summers, Hayes worked in Colorado Springs with the United States Air Force Academy Women’s Soccer program, leading goalkeeping camps and specialized training sessions.

In 2024, Hayes moved to Madrid to pursue a Master’s in Sports Technologies and Digital Transformation at Real Madrid University. While there, he gained valuable experience working with Real Madrid CF in their Performance & Injury Prevention department.

Outside of work, Hayes enjoys running, cycling, and spending time outdoors with friends. A lifelong sports fan, he supports the Texas Longhorns, attends Austin FC matches, and maintains what he proudly calls a “very average” golf game.
