Hailing from Concord, Massachusetts, Joshua learned a lifelong love of soccer from summers spent at his step-father’s soccer camp, first as a camper, and then later as a coach and Associate Director. There he learned not only the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork but also a genuine love of the game and a fondness for coaching.

For high school, Josh attended Phillips Academy, Andover, where twice his team was named New England Champion of the Class A division, comprised of the biggest boarding schools in the 6 state region. At Princeton, Josh played club and intramural, something he would continue to do long after college.

Building on his background as a camp counselor, Josh took his first head coaching job guiding a seventh-grade boys team from the Cathedral School in San Francisco to their first winning season in many years.

With FC Westlake Josh began as a volunteer coach for his two daughters, completing four seasons in the recreational program and one in the junior academy before starting with the competitive girls. His daughter Emily joins the program as a 10-year-old in 2025.

In his other life Josh is an accomplished reality TV producer. These days when he’s not coaching soccer, you might find him volunteering at his daughter’s swim meets, learning to code, or, better yet, losing himself in an RPG adventure video game somewhere in a made-up world.
