Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Luis earned his bachelor’s degree in Training and Sports Management from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He began his coaching career in 2015, building a foundation in youth development and competitive team environments.

In 2016, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he joined Barça Academy as a Head Coach, gaining experience within a high-performance academy model focused on technical development and possession-based play.

In 2024, he joined Sting Austin as a Head Coach, where he continues to develop players within a competitive pathway environment, including ECNL-level standards, with a strong emphasis on preparing athletes for the next level.

His coaching philosophy is centered on player development, game intelligence, and creating a structured pathway that supports college recruitment and long-term player success. He is committed to helping players reach their highest potential both on and off the field.
