Originally from Dallas and raised in Kyle, Texas, Tony graduated from high school before moving to Zacatecas, Mexico, to pursue his passion for soccer. During his four years abroad, he began coaching competitively, gaining valuable experience during the final two years of his time in Mexico.

In 2022, Tony returned to Texas and quickly began building his coaching career. He secured coaching positions with Fusion in Buda, Texas, and SGA Soccer School. After a year of coaching, he signed on as a full-time coach with Capital City Soccer Club in the summer of 2023.

Tony has also spent his summers coaching at SoccerZone South Austin, working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and developing upwards of 50 players each day. During a brief stint with Avila Creative Soccer in 2023, he further expanded his coaching knowledge, focusing on player engagement and accelerating players’ technical development.

Following several tournament finishes with first- and second-place medals, Tony traveled to Costa Rica and Monterrey, Mexico, for weeklong coaching experiences. During these trips, he helped coach two girls’ teams and three boys’ teams as they competed against some of the top youth clubs and academies in each country.

Outside of coaching, Tony enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing soccer. He is also a dedicated Manchester City fan and loves building new LEGO sets whenever he gets the chance.
