OUR REC PROGRAM

We aim to introduce soccer to more players and families through an organized, enjoyable, and safe experience with our Recreational Soccer Program! Our program enables us to provide players with the first step on their soccer journey while playing in a less competitive environment.

This is an in-house program split into Fall and Spring seasons. Our Recreational Director oversees the program, and teams are coached at practice and games by volunteer coaches. We provide coaching education and field support for all of our volunteer coaches. This gives them the framework to deliver coaching that grows players skills both on and off the field!

Program details

  • Led by Volunteer Parent-Coaches

    • (Must be SafeSport Certified & Background Checked)

    • Weekly curriculum provided by Recreational Director

  • Ages 3 - 12

  • Teams are formed by:

    • Grade

      • PreK 3, PreK 4, Kinder, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th+

    • Gender (Boys and Girls, no co-ed teams)

    • Friend/team requests and school attending

      • NOTE: Not all friend/team requests are fulfilled past the registration deadline

  • Equipment provided by the club: Player uniform (jersey, shorts, socks)

  • Equipment NOT provided by the club: Shin Guards, soccer balls

  • Rosters and schedules will be released the week of February 16th on the PlayMetrics app.

Pre-K

  • Teams of 10-12 players
  • 30-minute practice followed by a 30-minute game led by the team’s coaches
  • Saturday, fixed time slots every week
    • 8:00 am - 9:00 am
    • 9:15 am - 10:15 am
    • 10:30 am - 11:30 am
  • Players to bring a size 3 soccer ball
  • Location: Westlake Athletic and Community Center (WACC)

Kinder

  • Teams of 8-10 players
  • 30-minute practice followed by a 30-minute game led by the team’s coaches
  • Saturday time slots (varies week to week depending on number of teams in division)
    • 8:00 am - 9:00 am
    • 9:15 am - 10:15 am
    • 10:30 am - 11:30 am
    • 11:45 am - 12:45 pm
    • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
    • 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm
  • Play against another Kinder team
  • Players to bring a size 3 soccer ball
  • Location: Valley View Elementary

1st & 2nd Grade- 5v5 (Including GK's)

  • Teams of 8-10 players
  • 30-minute practice followed by a 40-minute game, led by junior referees
    • 10-minute quarters, 2-minute water breaks in between
  • Saturday time slots (varies week to week depending on the number of teams in the division)
    • 9:30 am - 11:00 am
    • 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
    • 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
    • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Play against another 1st/2nd-grade team
  • Players to bring a size 4 soccer ball
  • Location: Forest Trail Elementary School or Hill Country Middle School Lower Grass Fields

3rd & 4th- 7v7 (Including GK's)

  • Teams of 12-14 players
  • 50-minute games, led by junior referees
    • 25-minute halves, 5-minute half-time
  • Saturday kickoff times (varies week to week, kickoff times tentative depending on the number of teams in the division)
    • 9:00 am
    • 10:30 am
    • 12:00 pm
    • 1:30 pm
  • Play against another 3rd/4th - grade team
  • Players to bring a size 4 ball
  • Weekday practices are optional and determined by the parent coach
  • Location: Cedar Creek Elementary School backfield or Westlake High School Field 3

5th Grade & Older- 7v7 (Including GK's)

  • Teams of 12-14 players
  • League is combined with Lonestar Soccer Club, All game times and locations are determined by Lonestar
  • Weekday practices are optional and determined by the parent coach
  • Check with your program director regarding the locations of games

5th Grade & Older $275 including Uniform

By registering, you agree to the payment amount and structure laid out on this page. A full refund can be issued before the first practice session less a $35 admin fee. Once the season starts, fees are nonrefundable.

Important dates

Spring 2026 Recreational Soccer Important Dates

  • February 21st - Registration Deadline
    • Late registrations accepted through the first 2 weeks of the season if spots are available - requests not guaranteed
  • February 20th - Coaches Orientation/Uniform pick-up
  • February 28th - First Day of Rec Season
  • May 9th - Last Day of Rec Season
  • Spring Break (no games) - March 14th & 21st
  • May 16th - Potential Rainout Day
    • We only play games on this day if we have two or more rainouts during the season
