Darrell grew up in Houston, he played on the first Houston Texans team coached by the US U-17 & U-19 national coach Roy Rees. Darrell played at the collegiate level and in men’s leagues across the Houston area, College Station and Austin.

Currently Darrell is a Dyslexia teacher at CD Fulkes Middle School in Round Rock ISD.
