Having lived in Austin as long as he can remember, Eddie is a local product of the South Austin soccer scene. After going through the Lonestar SC Developmental Academy and ECNL system, Eddie caught the attention of Austin Bold FC and was signed to an amateur contract. While developing in training there, Eddie earned ECNL All-Conference honors and eventually committed to play college soccer at the University of West Florida. After 4 years and 4 conference championships there, he transferred to St. Edward’s University and will be playing his final year of college soccer there this fall.

In 2021, Eddie began working as a GK Coach for RTG Academy, assisting his own goalkeeping mentors Ryan Thompson and Mike Alcaraz through sessions with other aspiring goalkeepers. In addition to beginning to run private sessions with beginner goalkeepers, this experience helped Eddie realize his own love for coaching and staying around the sport, albeit in a different role than he was used to as a player. Shortly after moving to Pensacola, FL, for college, Eddie began serving as a GK coach at the local club for GK’s at the U9 recreational level to the U19 ECNL RL goalkeepers.

Two years later, Eddie took on a more substantial role with the club, organizing a club-wide goalkeeper development plan focused on developing the technical, physical, mental, and social skills goalkeepers need to succeed at the next level. With his partner, Eddie designed and ran sessions with the club’s entire goalkeeping department several times a week and helped the club earn a standout defensive record at national tournaments in the 2025/26 postseason.

Eddie left Coastal Rush in May 2026 to move into a new position with FC Westlake in Austin. He can’t wait to get started working with all of the new faces and help pass his own lessons and love for the game to the next generation.

Eddie loves going for hikes, playing guitar, and any beach time he can come across! He will have his own games at Saint Edward’s University this fall, and would love to see some familiar faces supporting in the crowd at all home games!
