A native of San Jose, California, Vanessa competed at the Division II level at Notre Dame de Namur University while double majoring in Sociology and Psychology.

While in college, she coached at multiple Stanford University residential soccer camps, building a strong foundation in player development.

Vanessa went on to serve as Athletic Director at KIPP Charter School, where she coached middle school boys soccer and mentored student-athletes. Since joining Sting Austin in Spring 2025, she has been committed to creating a positive, competitive environment that helps players grow on and off the field.
