Sprouted from Independence Kentucky, Dan achieved a collegiate soccer scholarship at Kentucky University as a goalkeeper.  While there, he helped lead them as a top 14 nationally ranked soccer team and won three conference championships.

After college, he pursued a career in business, yet yearned to return to the beautiful game. Since 2013 he has been a volunteer coach for over a dozen youth boys and girls soccer teams from U4-U11, following opportunities that led him & his wife Jaime Vaccaro Nether (a 1995 graduate of Westlake HS) and two children to return to Austin, TX in 2018.

In 2021 Dan continued his coaching career with a USSF Soccer D License and coached at Lonestar Soccer Club in the Junior Academy.

Dan currently is an IT Program Manager, and working Part-time with FC Westlake.  Being from Kentucky he definitely “bleeds blue”, a fan of the Big Blue Nation, his favorite professional teams are Bayern Munich, and is an Austin FC season ticket holder, with hobbies of cycling, boating, golf, horticulture, & spending time with family cheering UT sports.
